The ACT U/FTP CAT8 Datacenter Slimline Patch Cables ensure a maximum bandwidth of 2000 MHz (40 Gbit). The patch cables feature 30 AWG solid copper wires and 50 µ gold-plated RJ45 connectors. All cables comply with international standards and are 100% tested.
CAT8 U/FTP Slimline Ethernet cables for data centers have a smaller diameter (5 mm compared to 7.4 mm) than our regular CAT8 patch cables. The bend radius is also smaller compared to standard patch cables. This results in better airflow in the server rack or network cabinet.
The use of an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) cable sheath reduces the risk of high concentrations of toxic gases in the event that the cable is damaged by fire or short circuit.
Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards describe the use of patch cables between 22 and 28 AWG, it is possible to use 30 AWG patch cables. This leads to higher attenuation, especially at higher frequencies.
