But what is an L-connector needed for? There are two main areas of application. You can avoid bending your hard tubes and use L-connectors or other Alphacool Eiszapfen adapters for all angles. This changes the overall appearance of the water cooling system. However, there are also situations where a 90° angle is required, but the space is so tight that it cannot be achieved with a manually bent hard tube. An Eiszapfen L-connector can be the solution here. Double O-rings? Like all Eiszapfen connections, Alphacool also relies on a double O-ring system for the L-connector. This significantly increases the tightness compared to other systems with only one O-ring. Material and coating? The Alphacool Eiszapfen L-connector is made entirely of brass. Alphacool fundamentally and exclusively uses copper and brass products to prevent chemical reactions with other materials. The coating is done using a process known as chromating.
