Intensive use of a conventional computer mouse can lead to discomfort such as tingling, pain, and/or restricted blood circulation in the arms and hands. Another symptom is limited neck rotation. While the functionality of the standard computer mouse is good, it is often too small for the hand, and its shape forces the hand and fingers into an unnatural grip. Therefore, a group of mechanical engineers, in close collaboration with the Medical Center of Erasmus University in the Netherlands, redesigned the mouse and invented the ergonomic mouse called the HandShoe Mouse. It is designed for hand sizes between 175 mm and 195 mm.
