Cat. 8.1 patch cables are used for 25/40GBASE-T applications, with a transmission range of up to 30 meters and a transmission power of up to 2 GHz, which is four times the bandwidth of Cat. 6A. They are suitable for 25/40G Base-T Ethernet networks (40 Gigabit) and are backward compatible. The CAT 8 Channel Link is 100% tested, with an attached measurement protocol and serial number. The maximum bandwidth is 2000 MHz (2 GHz). The new RJ45 Cat. 8 connector meets industry standards and features 50µ gold-plated contact surfaces (PINs). This double-shielded LAN/network cable includes pair wire shielding (PIMF - pairs in metal foil) and total shielding (braid). Length indication is provided on the slimline bend protection sleeve.
