APS-C cameras are smaller and lighter than full-frame cameras. Models such as the Fujifilm X-T50, X-S20 or X-M5, Sony A6600/ A6700/A6400, Canon EOS R7/R10/ R50 or Nikon Z50 II/Z30 offer a very good compromise: they deliver good image quality at a moderate weight and price. Typically, an APS-C body weighs around 400-550 grammes, which is significantly less than comparable full-frame models...

The strengths of the OM-5 II include its light weight, dust and water spray protection and excellent image stabilisation. The computational photography modes are also useful. As a lightweight, robust system for travelling, the OM-5 II a good choice despite its weak battery a good value for money.

Although the OM-5 Mark II Micro Four Thirds camera has few new features compared to its predecessor, it is still a strong camera and one step ahead of the competition, especially with its computational photography functions. It also scores highly with its IP53 weather protection, compact dimensions and low weight, making it a very good choice for travelling and nature photography in particular.

Although the OM System OM-5 Mark II is only a small step up from its predecessor, it is once again impressive: It retains all the strengths such as the weather-protected housing and adds numerous improvements - including a larger grip, a USB-C charging socket, longer battery life and a better image stabiliser. Those who can do without this can save a good 300 euros on the predecessor, which is still...

The OM System OM-5 Mark II is a robust system camera that hardly differs from its predecessor. The splash-proof housing weighs only 418 grammes without the lens and has a compact design. When tested, the image-stabilised Micro Four Thirds sensor with 20 megapixel resolution proved to have good overall image quality, although this drops off visibly at higher ISO levels and in fading light...
