DVB-S/S2 to DVB-C conversion of 8 DVB-S/S2 transponders. The compact HDTV headend PCU 8510 converts signals from eight satellite transponders into DVB-C channels. It allows intervention in the transport stream to delete programs, adjust NIT/ONID data, or implement program mapping via the LCN function. The option to assign new TS-IDs or SIDs through the remapping function completes the practical functionality of the devices. The output modulation can be changed to DVB-T via a software update. Special features of the PCU 8000 compact headends include a temperature-controlled fan as part of the POLYTRON Long-Life concept and intuitive programming of the devices through the built-in control options via USB and LAN. All models in the PCU compact headend series can be combined using a common NIT table. The quality of each Made in Germany headend of the PCU 8000 series is guaranteed.
