The list of compatible CPUs includes: Athlon 3000G (3.5GHz,35W,L3:4M,2C).
In order for your CPU to run, you first have to do a BIOS update. Fortunately, the board can do a crashfree BIOS, but unfortunately this is hardly described in the manual (chapter 2.1). However, there is a separate BIOS update manual that you can download.
The procedure is:
Download the BIOS, rename it with the enclosed EXE file (or manually), copy it to a stick and switch on the PC and wait...

This does not apply to all B450s. I don't think PCIe 4.0 was enabled for this mainboard. PCIe 4.0 support was even explicitly removed with BIOS version 1816. Why not just a B550 board?
