Yes, it should work, we have both (USB-C and USB-A buttons) in use with MAC & WIN on a Barco ClickShare CS-100 (30m). But you need an adapter to program the USB-C button once - e.g. this Exsys EX-47991 (USB 3.0, 3.70cm)

Apple products work best for us with the Clickshare CS-200 base station via Airplay, then the screen of the iPhone or iPad is simply mirrored completely. The button is therefore not necessary at all. Simply select "Screen synchronisation" on the iPad and then the station appears for selection.
