A comparison using the comparison list in Digitec is not useful, as various specifications are missing for the 1500 model. If the AVR--X1500H is indeed newer and then even cheaper, I would definitely go for it. I bought the 1400 and it is - for my purposes (home cinema control centre and internet radio) - really good to use. I traded it in for a good Onkyo receiver with HDMI standard 1.3 that was about 10 years old. In terms of sound and picture, it is even a little better than the Onkyo, thanks to the very extensive Audyssey calibration.

I have it completely stowed away in the sideboard and without air supply. It gets warm at moderate volumes but not red-hot. So far everything is working fine. When the energy-saving mode is set to "Auto" or "On", it gets basically less hot at "normal" volumes.

Switching on is possible, simply play the desired source and the receiver switches on automatically. Switching off is only possible via the Denon app. There is a link to the Denon app in the HEOS app. It works without any problems, everything in one app would be nicer. Greetings, Michael

The AVR amplifier can be connected to the TV via an HDMI ARC connection, if the TV has this, or with a Toslink cable. As I understand it, however, the Bose system is a stand-alone system that does not require an additional amplifier. Is the idea to connect the Bose system with additional boxes to the AVR-x1400H and combine them? If yes: unfortunately this is not possible. If only the Bose system is to be connected to the amplifier, this could be done via the headphone socket (note: this has a 6.3mm input). In this case, however, all other outputs are switched off. However, this makes no sense because the Denon AVR would be superfluous and you could also connect the Bose system directly to the TV.
