We take your experience very seriously and would like to help you. We have never heard or experienced this before. The effect you describe, a blotchy appearance or the impression of "water spots", occurs when the privacy filter is placed too close or partially unevenly directly on the display without being held completely at a distance. Such effects are technically caused by so-called Newton rings (halo effects), which occur when two smooth surfaces come into point contact, similar to protective glass without a spacer layer. This occurs in particular when: 1. the magnetic frame does not sit completely flush so that the film bends slightly in the centre towards the display. 2. there is too much magnetism between the film and the display housing, causing the film to be "pulled" towards the display. 3. the display has a very smooth, reflective surface, as is the case with some anti-reflective or touch surfaces. Please check that the filter is attached correctly and without tension, otherwise the function may be impaired on sensitive touchscreens such as the Yoga X13 Gen 4. Repositioning or an alternative attachment method may help.

The second side of the film is 'matt' and is great against reflections. However, I find that this side offers slightly less privacy protection than the first side. So I use the glossy privacy film when I'm out and about (almost every day) and the matt side against reflections at work. As the film sticks to the small magnetic strips (attached to the computer, supplied), the pages can be changed in seconds. Hope that helps :)

It holds very well on all notebooks. I use it every day. It comes with magnetic strips that are stuck to the top edge of the screen. The advantage is also that the film can be easily removed when not in use, e.g. at home.

I don't know whether the product is suitable for an Apple. But the filter is of no use at all. It's a shame for every franc.
