The 5-year guarantee is also available at Digitec. You have to register the Fairphone on the manufacturer's website. See also the following blog article (at the bottom): https://www.digitec.ch/de/page/fairphone-4-5g-jetzt-vorbestellen-mit-kostenloser-5g-option-von-digitec-connect-21176
Hi Michael
As far as I have noticed, the /e/ operating system is not yet available for the Fairphone 4.
See link: https://doc.e.foundation/devices
You would have to install it yourself, but I hope that this does not invalidate the warranty.
There are already several complaints on the Fairphone forum (forum.fairphone.com). The solution is unfortunately rather difficult: "unlock your bootloader and install a fresh copy of Fairphone OS with Android 13" (which I do myself with all the updates). You could contact the service: https://support.fairphone.com. - Good luck!
This probably has to do with the latest update. In this update, the automatic brightness was reduced because many users complained that the display is too bright in the dark. Try switching off the automatic brightness and see if it is better.
I played eOS on it myself. ZKB and Crontosign (some cantonal banks) work, as do almost all the other apps I use. Skype Audio doesn't work, it sounds like Mickey Mouse. Presumably the same applies to MS Teams, as it is based on Skype.
Buying apps only works with a Google account, so I've given up all the apps I bought.
No, that is simply misunderstood by you.
The reference [Showroom] only indicates that this unit is on display in one or more branches for -->viewing<--. When you buy online or in a branch, you *always* get a new unit from the warehouse.
This is not only the case with fairphones, but even with iPhones or other devices with Android, for example. 5G sucks the battery dry - almost no matter which mobile brand you use.
Hello Jupfister
Unfortunately, I haven't found one yet. According to some forums, this company (https://twitter.com/lifeproof/status/1551656242644393986?s=21&t=vKC2Znjx_WSas_RM2yl3kA) makes special covers. You'll have to be patient. Such ideas have already been incorporated into the development of the Fairphone 5. Otherwise just generic waterproof beach bags.

A phone’s biggest environmental impact comes from making the thing in the first place. So the longer you keep it, the more sustainable it becomes. Simple.
We don’t just promise long-term support, software updates and friendly customer service. We have it in writing: A 5-year warranty for every Fairphone 4*.
*When you purchase before 31/12/2022. Remember to register your warranty."
Hi, I've had a Fairphone 4 since January, and the system is suggesting that I update to Android 13. My device has just come back from repair, and when I install the update, it's impossible to switch the phone back on, a screen suggests you try again or go back to the factory settings... I've done this 4 times and always with the same result. I also get a notification telling me that my system is out of date... I don't know what to do, because I really don't know anything about phones... But I have to admit I'm surprised that a phone that's just come back from repair can't update itself properly and that they haven't installed the latest update as part of the warranty...
No, it's not included and has to be bought separately, it's always been a bit more expensive to buy something that's sustainable, but I think Fairphone could have included at least one charging cable in the package. Only this is included:

This Xiaomi Fast Charger comes with a USB-C cable:

Given the extremely high price of the Fairphone, I wonder if it wouldn't be much cheaper to buy a Xiaomi or Poco phone, for example, as these phones always come with chargers and charging cables. That is no longer fair, but it is fair for the consumer, because you save a lot of money.
The Fairphone 4 is certainly a good thing, but spending so much money on a Qualcom Snapdragon 750G and a small 3900 mAh battery should be well considered.
A Xiaomi 12 with 5G, 256 GB of storage, a Snapdragon Gen 1 processor that is more than twice as fast and a 67-watt charger would be available for as little as CHF 499. The phone could also be wirelessly charged and the cameras should be a lot better (the Fairphone 4 only got a meagre 69 in the DXOMARK camera test, which is a smartphone class of around 200+ francs), while the Xiaomi 12 got almost double that with 112.) Maybe that would be an alternative?

I would like to buy the Fairphone 4. The Grauer (605 CHF) has a low frequency of 60 Hz; the Grüne offers 240 Hz for a similar price.
Is this a mistake - are both 240 Hz? - or does the Blue have less picture quality?
Danke!

I want to buy a Fairphone 4. The grey model (above, 605 CHF) would have a "Bildwiederholfrequenz" of 60Hz, while the green one has 240 Hz for the same price. In your opinion, is this a mistake on the specification sheet or does the grey one really have a worse visual quality?
Thank you!
