Hello Doctor46 Yes of course, I have installed this router in a standard distribution box including a 5-port switch. 😊 The white power supply unit is from the FritzBox! router and fits into the existing 3-way socket. The power supply unit only has two poles, as no earthing is required! The black power supply unit is for the 5-port switch. I made another picture, but somehow I can't upload it, so just text, gel. Greetings in the evening

Hello, No, since the repeaters amplify the WLAN of your FRITZ!Box, the decision between a 6000 and a 3000 depends more on the end devices you use and which WLAN standards they support. Our technical support team will be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Please send us a message to fritzhilft@avm.de and mention the ticket ID "6639043" so that we can quickly allocate your enquiry. Kind regards from Berlin Your AVM team

Hello Yes, I can answer that with yes. I use this repeater as a bridge device, i.e. I have configured the repeater as a bridge. This means that it serves as an extended arm to the router, as it does not have sufficient WLAN range! It has two RJ45 connections and can thus integrate an additional device into the network. Comparable to a mini switch. With this it is also possible to switch the WLAN on and off via a timer, which is not possible with a Swisscom Box, for example! I hope I was able to answer your question satisfactorily with my answer. Have a nice evening. Kind regards

This must be tested on a case-by-case basis. Every wall, every obstacle worsens the signal. You can test the signal strength via the Fritzbox software or app and see for yourself what the best positioning is. It may also be that you need an additional repeater for a better signal that you position halfway to the destination.

There is no difference. The repeater is subject to the laws of the WLAN and this is provider independent. in LAN bridge/access point mode only contact via Ethernet cable to the Fritz!Box the Connect Box 3 -> an AVM product? If NO, MESH from AVM will not work. but it is very suitable as a repeater or access point

Technically yes, because Fritz repeaters are also mesh-capable and that is the keyword, it is best to install a mesh system, because this gives you very good WLAN reception throughout the house. However, this repeater is rather expensive, there is for example a mesh router set from Xiaomi, consisting of two mesh routers, which can serve up to 256 devices, I would therefore recommend this solution, because it also supports the new WiFi 6 standard with the latest WPA 3 encryption system. The system can be expanded up to 10 devices and the existing LAN cable can be used as a backhaul. Mesh systems are the best solution, there are also more expensive ones, but for the one from Xiaomi you get two identical WLAN mesh routers and each even has a 3-fold Gbit switch. One is installed at the Internet modem, then switch off the WLAN of the Internet router. The mesh system takes over all the network traffic in the house. https://www.digitec.ch/search If one set is not enough, you can buy more mesh routers.

Mesh routers are only compatible with each other. E.g. AVM with AVM products or TP-Link Deco with other mesh routers of the Deco series. However, the modem used, which is responsible for the Internet signal, does not matter, it can also be from another manufacturer. The Nokia router model will be able to be used with the ABM Mesh. Simply establish a LAN connection to the AVM main mesh router. But the WLAN of the Nokia router must be switched off. It is no longer needed.

Both and. You can configure the device the way you need it and mesh works fine for me.

Dear Armin, without knowing your set-up and building plans, I would advise two solutions. First, bring back the repeaters from Sunnrise. They don't really have good equipment they are selling you. The former: run a cable from the router to the basement and one to the top floor. You can set up an access point there. The second solution would be to set up an extension of the network via network mesh on the upper and lower floors. Two small Fritz Repeaters are sufficient for this. As long as you don't have several 100 square metres per floor, this set-up should be enough. This one should do it: AVM FRITZ! repeater 2400 AVM FRITZ!Repeater 2400 WLAN Mesh CH (1733 Mbit/s, 600 Mbit/s)

I would say: Yes. Fritzbox uses common standards. The mesh function from AVM will probably not work. Unless Swisscom has tinkered with something...

Basically, you can connect any repeater to any WLAN, there are no restrictions. So yes. But the mesh function is of no use in this configuration, unless you want to add more mesh repeaters.

It will certainly work, but whether it works with the desired mesh speed is something I would clarify directly with AVM support. Your router can only do ac. And whether your ax repeater will then achieve the desired throughputs with the 1 gigabit LAN supply I rather doubt.

According to AVM support, the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 with item number 20002953 is suitable for use in both Switzerland and Germany. In contrast, the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 with item number 20002908 is only certified for use within Germany.
