Good day, I am soon despairing with my internet in the house. I confess that I don't have much of a clue - but the "professionals" in my family circle are ruining me financially with all the equipment I have now purchased, without success/benefit. I live in a house with 4 floors (incl. basement) / partly reinforced concrete. The telephone connection is on the 2nd floor with a router from Sunrise. Without repeaters, I don't even have WLAN in every room on the 2nd floor. I have now received 2 repeater pods from Sunrise (monthly costs!!!). I have to plug one into the router with a cable - the other I can plug into the office (1st floor). Works FROM AND TO. Full stop! What is the best way to ensure that I have Wi-Fi throughout the house? Would it help if I put an AVM FRITZ!Repeater 6000 on each floor, or is that too much of a good thing? I would also need WLAN in the basement (reinforced concrete). Thank you for your advice

Dear Armin, without knowing your set-up and building plans, I would advise two solutions. First, bring back the repeaters from Sunnrise. They don't really have good equipment they are selling you.

The former: run a cable from the router to the basement and one to the top floor. You can set up an access point there. The second solution would be to set up an extension of the network via network mesh on the upper and lower floors. Two small Fritz Repeaters are sufficient for this. As long as you don't have several 100 square metres per floor, this set-up should be enough.

This one should do it:
AVM FRITZ! repeater 2400
AVM FRITZ!Repeater 2400 WLAN Mesh CH (1733 Mbit/s, 600 Mbit/s)
