I now have a Chromecast Ultra. It is a US import. However, the power supply is suitable for 100-240V 50/60Hz and can therefore be used without any problems with an adapter.

There are the apps DS Video, DS Audio and DS Photo from Synology itself, which you can install on an iOS or Android device. Alternatively, you can also use Plex. However, these apps must first be installed and set up on the NAS itself. Streaming with the Synology apps worked very well for me, but not all video formats are supported. With Plex, streaming only partially worked for me.

Hello, it even supports 4K/60fps. The normal Chromecast probably only supports 1080p/50fps. As an alternative, I could recommend the Nvidia Shield TV. It's a lot more expensive, but any kind of streaming (including games) run in 4K/60fps as long as it's supported by the TV. For someone who is on the move on Twitch, perhaps quite interesting, also because of the keyboard/mouse support.

Also, it can't connect to my 5ghz wifi. 2.4gh works fine... anyone got a trick for me?

As long as the TV can do 4K, that shouldn't be a problem.

It is not yet known when exactly the Chromecast Ultra will be launched in Switzerland. For this reason, it is also not possible for us to include an official CH power supply for the Chromecast Ultra (i.e. the one with RJ45 connection) -> it is simply not available yet.

They must have imported too many from the USA and have to get rid of them first! It's logical...
