Basically, any fan is suitable for overclocking. There is certainly a better choice, but it often depends on the case and whether you can install a larger one. So get to the OC screw and see what the i5 can do :-)

The cooler is compatible with socket AM5. All Noctua coolers supporting socket AM4, including this one, are compatible with AM5, often without the need for an additional adapter, as AM5 uses the same mounting system as AM4. The NH-U9S chromax.black officially supports AM4 and AM5 from 2019 according to the manufacturer's datasheet. Yes you can but I highly recommend this one NH-D15,it's more effective.

Here is the answer from our supplier:
"We can't say for sure if external CPU coolers are compatible with this model, as it has not been tested. But depending on the socket and height of the CPU cooler, it should be compatible. Please note that to install this cooler, you must remove the motherboard and install a backplate."

I have installed the heat sink in the meantime and can't check anymore, but the support on the CPU and the heat pipes are silver and looked nickel-plated to me.
