It was working with our Salt SIM, yes.
It depends on how much you want to carry around. At the end of the day, it's just a small Android smartphone. If you only want to use it for Spotify, I recommend you take a look at Mighty. Basically an Ipod Nano but for Spotify (no experience with the product myself). Unfortunately not available on Digitec

Hello unfortunately I can not answer you because I am very disappointed with Digitec the reason was from 100% was 20% lie, waterproof IP68 and memory expandable to 200 GB, bad at it is they continue to make the same advertising although I have proven. Never buy electrical equipment from Digitec again and sales people are arrogant.
The description even promises 4G. As far as I know, this is possible with any provider that offers 4G.

I use Android and it works there, but it depends on the phone provider. With Swisscom, the calls synchronise, but not the SMS.
I'm not aware of any region lock on this phone. You might want to ask the manufacturer directly though.
