All devices, including those from Samsung, use the same qi wireless charging standard today. The only differences are how much power the charger delivers and how fast the devices can charge.

I had exactly the same reaction. I plugged my old USB-C charging cable into the Samsung Duo 15W and was able to charge my phone and Galaxy Buds headphones. You just have to connect it to the charger as if it were a mobile phone, then it should work, otherwise send it back.
