I have just been able to successfully set up my Samsung SL-C480W under Ubuntu 14.04. It was even easier than I had hoped for in my wildest dreams. After previous experiences with another well-known printer manufacturer, I was prepared for anything, but this time everything went like clockwork:
Call up the link
https://www.samsungsetup.com/TS... on the Ubuntu computer, download the Linux package, run "sudo ./install.sh", agree to the EULA and the driver installation is complete.
The printer can then be added via the normal printer menu in Ubuntu, it is automatically found in the network without any further configuration.
That's what I call Linux compatibility :-)
A small drop of bitterness on the side: The site for the package download is not completely encrypted in all parts.
