1. set on PS5 (don't have one but internet search for 'activate freesync ps5' should help).
2. hdmi 2 or hdmi 2.1 should both work (hdmi 1.4 not with 4k).
3.max frequency from monitor is 60hz - it's not a gaming monitor. If the 60 fps is not reached, then choose lower resolution on the PS5. Otherwise there is probably not much to do
You have to check who is the offering party. Since digitec has introduced some time ago marketplace funktionality. There can be a different company offering you the product.
The resolution is definitely good, but it's a monitor with a TN panel, which is not very stable in terms of viewing angles. The Macbook Pro 2014 has an HDMI output on the side, so I would use that. However, I would recommend this LG monitor because it has a much better IPS panel and a very good stand that can also be adjusted. The Samsung's stand is quite a wobbly affair.

No, that shouldn't be a problem, but the screens have an automatic switch-off function that usually switches the screen off a few minutes after there is no signal. They have Energy Star 6 and when they are off, they consume 0.3 watts/hour. I would rather look at something in the home that consumes more than 0.3 watts.
Since the screen only has 60Hz, it's not really suitable for gaming (for 4K, you need very powerful components to get above 30 FPS). I would rather recommend a 1440p with 120 or 144 Hz.
Hello, my display is connected with a HDMI Type A like in your picture, so I think is no probelm. Display for Mac or for PC (I' have a PC with Linux) must be the same.

I have had this screen for 1 year and have now ordered a 2nd one in the promotion, which should arrive tomorrow. I consider the (small) disadvantage of this screen to be the fact that I always have to switch it off via the jog button on the back, i.e. press the button, jump to the switch-off button, switch off. Now if I have to do that for 2 screens, it's a bit silly.
I am therefore considering switching the screens on and off via a multiple socket strip. Could there be any problems if I switch the screens on and off in this way? Wear and tear etc.?

The Samsung screen is indeed tiltable, but not by much. I would advise against buying it, the Samsung unit is from 2015, so it's old (although new in the box). I recommend this LG monitor instead of the Samsung: LG 27UL500-W.AEU (insist on CH power cable, there are some who probably got a EUR cable):

The Samsung U28E590D monitor looks like a bargain, but it came on the market in 2015, even though it is new in the box. They have to get rid of the devices now (they were so cheap a month ago). The Samsung model is definitely no longer new.

Hallo Marc. If I understand you right, you are using a laptop - and this laptop only have one connection for a screen?
No matter if you have a normal PC or Laptop, you need enough connections to the amount of screens you want to connect, AND the graphics chip/card needs to support the amount of screens, the resolutions and screen update HZ you plan to use.
I have a relative old PC with a nvidia based card (760 gtx) that can drive 2 samsung 4K screens, one with HDMI and one with Display-port.
On none of the laptops I have, it is possible to connect 2 4K samsung screens.
One of the laptops I have is a Elitebook G6 (generation 6). I have a docking station for it, but the Intel chip cannot handle 2 time 4K, but lower resolution is possible - even to 3 screens (like full hd)
There are many different docking stations and connections, just check, you need the RIGHT amount of ports, AND a graphics chip that can handle the output!
