I have been using the earbuds for six months and find them easy to clean. The ear tips can be easily removed and cleaned with soapy water. They also have a kind of net in the centre to prevent earwax from getting into the earpiece.

I own the WF-1000XM5 and wore it for the first time today. I am very disappointed. In my opinion, the ANC does not work. When I turn on the noise reduction in the Sony Headphones Connect app it is practically the same "loud" as when it is completely off! That can't be right. I have also tried the other attachments, still loud. I used to have the WF-1000XM4 and the ANC was much better, you couldn't hear anything if someone was talking next to you. What do you think, is the ANC defective? Should I send them back? Thank you very much.
The headphones can be connected to a Samsung TV, but often no sound is audible. This problem occurs in particular with certain Samsung TV models, as the supported audio codecs between headphones and TV are not always compatible. It is also known that Samsung TVs with older Bluetooth versions (e.g. 4.1) have difficulties with Sony WF-1000XM5 and similar models. A software update of the TV could possibly solve the problem, if available and installed. It is recommended to check the compatibility of the audio codecs and contact customer service if the problem persists.

Depending on the smartphone app or computer application (for which HFP (Hands-free Profile)/HSP (Headset Profile)
is required), you may only hear the voice from one headset unit.
1-Charge the earbuds.
2-Reset (restart) the playback device.
As the playback device may not work temporarily, switch the device off and on again once.
3-Clear the Bluetooth device information of your playback device.
4-If the earphones are connected to a computer, check the following settings:
For Microsoft® Windows® 11 operating system:
-Open the Start menu and select Settings.
-Select System.
-Select Sound.
- Scroll down to the "Advanced" menu and select "More sound settings".
- On the "Playback" tab, select "Headphones" and click "Set as default device".
For Windows® 10:
- On the right side of the computer screen, right-click on the speaker icon.
-Select "Open sound settings" and then
-Select "Sound control panel".
-Select the "Playback" tab to display the device list.
-Select the headset labelled "Handsfree" and click on "Set as default device".

only be played from 1 paired device at a time. The headset may be connected to
2 devices at the same time via Bluetooth. You can switch the music playback from one device to the other
without having to establish a new Bluetooth connection. If you want to play music from the other device
stop the music playback on the current device and start it by operating the other device.
If you set [Connect to 2 devices simultaneously] to [On], [Currently connected device] is displayed on the dashboard.
The device with the icon (speaker) is set as the music playback device. If you select a device on the
[Manage connected device] screen, you can change or set the music playback device.
If this is not the case, delete the headset's pairing information on the iPhone and then pair it again.

I bought the WF-1000XM5 here in February this year. At first everything seemed to work fine. Since about 2 weeks the sound is only mono (on the left side normal, on the right side quiet, like mono). As I don't trust the wearing comfort, I only use them at home and therefore not every day, which means they are not damaged by dropping or moisture. System updates, resetting, re-pairing, adjusting app settings and phone settings, switching off mono on the phone (which was never on)... I've tried everything, the same when I connect the laptop. What can I do? Does anyone have any experience? It's extremely frustrating because I prefer the WF-1000XM5 to its predecessor.
