Yes, you can also manage the network via an app from outside, which I find practical and good. For example, when a new device connects to the network (mobile) you get a message and can block it immediately if it is suspicious. I can also control traffic in the house, e.g. restrict my daughter's use if she spends too long on her mobile or the TV (Netflix) etc. All good! Greetings

Hello, yes, this product works with WiFi 5 thanks to its backward compatibility. It supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and is compatible with WiFi 5 (802.11ac) for a smooth connection with existing devices.

In the case of product revisions and associated releases of new versions within a product type, manufacturers often use the same manufacturer number and usually also the same global part number (GTIN) of the predecessor. The latter is used for the electronic identification of products, with which our products are booked into our incoming goods department and which is also used to control shipping. As our warehouse is largely automated and we aim for the fastest possible processing between order and delivery, it is unfortunately not possible for us to control which version is ultimately dispatched.

Yes, you can use a Deco X50 as a WiFi repeater without an Ethernet cable to the main router. The Deco units connect to each other wirelessly using mesh technology to extend the network, as indicated in the official product description, which mentions "wireless connections and optional Ethernet backhaul". This forms a single network with no signal drop-out on the move.

I was able to do some research and that is correct. The manufacturer makes minimal upgrades and changes depending on the hardware version. As the EAN codes and manufacturer numbers are the same, unfortunately we cannot guarantee which version will be supplied. As long as there are some of the previous versions in circulation, there is a chance that you will receive one.

The Deco X50 is a suitable solution for your needs. It offers strong Wi-Fi amplification and can provide better Wi-Fi coverage on the ground floor. In the basement, the second Deco X50 can be used for Wi-Fi and LAN connections to connect your TV and boxes. Each Deco X50 has three Gigabit Ethernet ports that are suitable for connecting your devices via LAN.

I recommend the following configuration: Modem --> main decoder --> distributor. The main decoder should be connected as close as possible to the modem, otherwise you will lose a lot of speed. I once wanted to connect the main decoder only after the distribution, but it didn't work over 2 floors. In the end, only the main decoder should be connected to the modem, nothing else. Everything else is connected to the deco.

Not in my experience. I have one in the basement, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Reinforced concrete ceilings. It didn't work for me with just 2 pieces (in the basement and upstairs).

I use the X 50 on 4 floors in my detached house. So one X50 per floor. The floor area of the house is 10m x 11m. Works perfectly.

Deco x50 is newer than x60 and has three rj45 ports. The rest of the specs are practically identical. That's why I bought the x50. Top product.

TP Link's solutions are comprehensive antivirus and antimalware solutions that protect all devices used in the same network, including EiFi hoovers and other IoT devices. Infected devices are also quarantined and isolated from other devices. A Pi router can do other things, such as filtering out advertising, but an antivirus solution for all devices on the network must be in the router, which can distribute the internet to everything else.

Hello, thank you for the enquiry. Yes, this Mash works flawlessly with the Sunrise (upc) Gigabox. Ethernet cable in the router, other side in the mashbox. Wifi is very fast (wifi 6). I have also connected the Sunrise TV cable box via wifi, works just as well, although a little slower. If the Meshbox is nearby, it is advisable to connect the TV box via Ethernet cable. Greetings, Walter.
