Can the 10Gb RJ45 WAN port also be used as a LAN port? Otherwise it would be useless with a fibre optic WAN connection?

Yes, all ports can be used as WAN or LAN. That's exactly how it works for me: one SFP+ as a fibre optic WAN and the 10GbE RJ45 (and two 2.5 GbE) as LAN/VLANs.

Does anyone use this gateway with Swisscom ? would like to replace my Swisscom Internet Box 4 with this fibre gateway but do not know if it is compatible with Swisscom ? does anyone have experience with it ?

Yes, it's no problem, I have a Swisscom router and the gateway is connected directly to it.

Is this thing compatible with anything in our country...? So: - Galaxus/Digitec offer - Swisscom - UPC/Sunrise ...otherwise it probably makes no sense - or am I completely on the tube - er wire...? ;-))

Is this the UCG-Fiber instead? There’s no product called UXH-Fiber and the one came out this year is the UCG-Fiber (with exact same specs). Can someone please confirm?

Ubiquiti doesn't even have a product called "Desktop 10G independent", and honestly, a picture of every side but the side where the ports are located? Product descriptions used to be better.

In fact, this is the trade name for this item, even though it is actually a Gateway Fibre. https://eu.store.ui.com/eu... The description is usually taken over by us, unfortunately the manufacturer does not really have one. We will be happy to forward the feedback to the relevant department for revision.
