Have you also tried using a different disc? The problem may be with the disc rather than the Ugreen frame.

Actually, the 3.5" hard drives are standardised in size and always the same size. I recently bought this enclosure with the X18-18TB variant; it worked without any problems.

Can it really only handle 16TB?

Helpful answer

The Ugreen hard drive enclosure can support hard drives with a capacity of up to 16 TB. There are no technical limitations that would prevent it from handling larger capacities as long as the hard drive itself is compatible and the interface is supported. However, hard drives larger than 16 TB are currently less common, especially for 3.5-inch models.

Helpful answer

To use a hard drive as external storage under Windows, you normally do not need to install any software as most Ugreen hard drive enclosures are plug-and-play capable. You can connect the hard drive directly to your computer and it should be recognised. To format a hard drive, you can use the built-in Windows tools, such as Disk Management. To do this, go to "Manage computer" > "Hard drive management", select the hard drive and format it using the corresponding menu.

Hello I think you have a hard drive with the old IDE connector (those flat wide grey cables?). Anyway, your hard disk does not fit. The 4-pin (white) power connector is missing. I would have attached a picture, but unfortunately it's not possible. Maybe search for "cablecc IDE adapter" at a m a z o n ;-) LG
