I am currently considering the purchase of the XGIMI Aura 2 projector and would be grateful for your assistance in clarifying a few points. Please excuse my limited technical knowledge in this field; I am still becoming familiar with this type of product and therefore wish to ensure that I fully understand its features and requirements before proceeding. Could you kindly provide information regarding the following questions: 1) Is it possible to connect the Aura 2 to the internet via a 5G mobile hotspot instead of a conventional Wi-Fi network? 2) What is required in order to watch television content? Would an additional TV box (for example, similar to a Swisscom TV box) be necessary, and are specific cables required? 3) Which connection method would you recommend to ensure the highest possible image quality? 4) Is it possible to play films through a USB connection using an external hard drive? If so, does this result in any loss of image or sound quality? 5) To achieve optimal viewing quality, is the use of an ALR screen such as the XGIMI UST ALR Screen necessary, or are alternative projection surfaces suitable? 6) Is it possible to download and use applications such as Spotify and YouTube directly on the Aura 2? 7) Does the device support screen mirroring from Apple devices? Is the connection sufficiently stable for high-quality video playback, or would the use of a separate Apple TV device be advisable? 8) Would it be possible to view this product, or a comparable model, in person somewhere in Switzerland? If so, could you kindly indicate where this may be arranged? Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to your kind response.

Hi @maryyy 1. Internet via 5G hotspot Possible. The projector connects to any Wi-Fi network, including a mobile hotspot. Streaming quality depends on mobile signal quality. 2. Watching TV The XGimi Aura does run an AndroidTV OS so you are able to install Apps to watch external sources. The Aura 2 however is shipped without official Netflix support due to Netflix licensing restrictions on some Android TV projectors. You are able to connect any external source (e.g. Swisscom TV Box, Apple TV), console, or streaming device. Connection via HDMI. 3. Best image quality HDMI from a dedicated device provides the most stable signal and full image quality. 4. USB playback External USB drives work. Films can be played directly with no quality loss; quality depends only on the video file. 5. Projection surface A UST ALR screen gives the best contrast, especially in bright rooms. A white wall or normal screen works but with lower contrast. 6. Apps Runs Android/Google TV. Apps such as YouTube and Spotify can be installed directly. 7. Apple mirroring AirPlay-style screen mirroring works. For the most stable video playback, an Apple TV 4K via HDMI is more reliable. 8. Viewing in Switzerland Potentially possible at electronics retailers. I purchased the Aura 2 couple of weeks ago. I run it with a separate Android TV (Xiaomi Mi) and Apple TV source and I am very happy.

Hello, if we take the front edge of the foot of the appliance at the front edge of the appliance we have about 7.5cm. The distance between the rear edge of the back foot and the front edge of the front foot is about 13.5cm.

The projector supports screen mirroring from iOS devices using the AirScreen app, which enables AirPlay functionality without requiring an Apple TV box. You can mirror pictures and other content directly from an iPhone by connecting both devices to the same Wi-Fi network and using AirPlay through the AirScreen app installed on the projector. This allows direct wireless casting from the iPhone to the projector.

The Aura 2 has 2300 ISO lumens, these 2300 ISO lumens correspond to 2875 ANSI lumens, i.e. ISO vs ANSI. Why this is listed here as 2 different products with different prices also makes me wonder.

Unfortunately this is not possible, the item would have to be collected first. However, the item was only unpacked and returned to the shop due to its size. The information on signs of use must be given as soon as the product has been opened, even if it has not been used. Alternatively, our customer service can be contacted for more detailed information, unfortunately pictures are not possible for many items as they are stored in the automated main warehouse. https://www.digitec.ch/help.

The Aura 2 (CH) does not natively support Netflix due to Netflix's licensing requirements. However, you can still access Netflix by using workarounds such as installing the Netflix app through the DesktopManager or Desktop Launcher app, or by connecting an external streaming device like an Amazon Fire Stick or Chromecast with Google TV.

While the XGIMI AURA 2's integrated speakers can provide an immersive audio experience, they are designed primarily as part of the internal 2.0-channel sound system with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. It is possible to route the projector's audio output signal to external speakers to create a more comprehensive surround sound system. The AURA 2 has various audio outputs, including HDMI with eARC support, optical output and Bluetooth 5.2, which make it possible to connect external speakers or a home cinema system. You can therefore use the integrated speakers as centre speakers and also connect rear speakers via the available audio outputs to create a complete surround sound setup.
