Yes, the projector supports Airplay via the AirScreen app. To do this, you must install the AirScreen app on the device and connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. The official instructions confirm that XGIMI products such as the HORIZON provide Airplay functions via this method.
Note: The above steps apply to the HORIZON - for your "Horizon (Full HD)" model, the exact procedure may vary, but Airplay functionality is typically available via AirScreen on XGIMI products in this series. If you are unsure, I recommend taking a look at the instructions supplied or the manufacturer's support portal.
You can watch Netflix on the XGIMI Horizon projector, but it requires a small workaround. Since Netflix requires specific licences and certifications for projectors, it is not directly available. However, you can use the Desktop Launcher app to install and use Netflix. Alternatively, you can also use an external streaming stick such as Amazon Fire TV or Chromecast to stream Netflix.
It also works via the Chrome browser:
Three-dot menu/save and share/stream/: In the pop-up window that then appears, select "Screen" (instead of "Tab") as the source, select the Horizon and minimise the browser.
1: I don't know exactly, but certainly via Bluetooth (sound on the device is surprisingly good...)
2. the size of the picture can be adjusted
I can really recommend the projector
For most items there is a 30-day right of withdrawal, but if the goods have been unpacked a charge will be made. Further information is available here: https://www.galaxus.ch/it...
From a height of approx. 1.8 m, the unit must be turned upside down and, as a rule, attached to the rear wall or ceiling with an appropriate holder, or simply turned upside down and switched to "ceiling projection" in the picture settings. This is normal and is the case with all projectors.
At a distance of 3.6m, the image will have a diagonal of about 2.7m, which is very large. Of course you can use digital zoom to reduce the size of the image, but you lose quality.
Personally, I have it at 2.2m, the beamer is mounted at the same height as the upper edge of the screen and upside down, distance 3.5m and picture size 2.6m.
So much for my experience.
No, according to our information, the Xgimi Horizon 2K only has the following connections: I/O connection ports: DC x 1, HDMI 2.0 x 2, USB 2.0 x 2, LAN x 1.
Yes, no problem. Even sideways is possible, keystone correction not only horizontally but also vertically. And even automatically. Very cool beamer! So projecting anywhere is possible and it's very, very quiet too.
AndroidTV is installed on the beamer, so you can use the UPC app without any problems. If necessary, make an update. If you would like technical support, you can register at: https://www.digitec.ch/de....
The projector can only use Chromecast (Android smartphone), but not Miracast, which would be necessary for a wireless connection with Windows 10. WLAN and LAN connections on the projector are only used to access the internet.
Unfortunately, this model would not be suitable for this, as in order to achieve a picture width of 2 m, a distance of 240 cm is required for this model, and at a distance of 4 m, the picture would be considerably wider than 2 m. It is best to contact us by telephone for advice.
