    Price/performance O.K.
If you don't want a 4.8 inch beater in your pocket, you'll be happy with the 4 inch screen.
Runs very smoothly with Android 4.1.2.
There are certainly better cameras (poor picture quality, especially
when it's not so bright, and has a somewhat long response time).
Display resolution is rather low for today's standards, but is only really noticeable with small fonts.
The strong colours on an AMOLED screen are a matter of taste. For me, they are a little too unnatural.
The battery should have a bit more power, but with moderate use you can get by for 2 days.
Basically a good device in the lower mid-range. I would probably buy it again.

The S3 mini is my first smartphone and I am satisfied after 2 weeks:
+ good display despite rel. low resolution (HD movies+photos look very good), eBook reading goes well for some pages.
    + Android 4.1 is nice
    + Response
    time generally good (except camera)
-Camera a bit weak: only 5MP, low low-light performance, photos have "mobile phone charm" and colour shifts
    - Battery life a bit short when playing games and watching videos (after 1 day battery only half full displayed)

=> Conclusion: recommendable, I don't regret the purchase.

Junk. That's all I've been able to say....

Junk. I have no more than one word for it, because for all its bells and whistles, it has features that completely disqualify it for me:
    - KIES takes almost half an hour to synchronise my 130 contacts and about 1000 calendar
entries (my Nokia E72 does it in 1-2 minutes).
    - KIES hangs and has to be stopped with the task manager if you cancel the sync process with the cross at the bottom right.
    - KIES often does not recognise the phone if it was already connected before you start KIES.
    - Pairing with the phone preparation in the VW Touran does not work properly, the PIN is not displayed immediately but only when the Bluetooth visibility is switched on for the second time.
    - The selection of the folders to be synchronised in Outlook is disastrous, because e.g. for the calendar dozens of possibilities are displayed, namely all the calendars visible to me at all.
    - After/during the calendar sync, I regularly receive notices of missed meetings from March 2013 or from sometime.
    - All SMS messages are also displayed in the phone log. Frequent texters will really enjoy finding out who called them and when, which is only recognisable by a small phone symbol.

If you want a mobile phone with radio and the ...

If you want a mobile phone with a radio and the possibility to record from it, there is not much choice. I checked all the models with this feature in this medium size class by means of test reports, and this was almost the only one left besides the successor model S 4 mini. The radio functions have been improved compared to before by making it easier to change the title after saving.

Typing errors happen again and again with keystrokes, so you have to proceed slowly and accurately here.

    Pro

    • Radio with recording storage

    Contra

    • a little small for keyboard

    good device.

Why is it not mentioned anywhere here (in the details or reviews) that you can no longer move the apps with Android 4.1.2 (delivery state) to the memory expansion in the normal way ????

    I might as well
buy an iPhone if everything is restricted!
