    Cheaper s20 alternative

For anyone looking for a smartphone that is better than the S10 and wants to buy a GoPro 8 to go with it, this is a better choice than the S20. It offers many settings and is equipped with Android 10. For games it is very well suited but keeps within limits depending on the quality and programming of the games.

The micro camera is hardly to use (tip just use normal and zoom)

The software offers many settings and at the beginning it is recommended to install the Poco Launcher as an alternative. This has the old familiar switch up and all apps function and the launcher desks are not overloaded with apps as on the original launcher.

    With reservation

Coming from a Huawei Mate 10 pro.

The fingerprint on the on/off switch is clearly negative. Clearly worse to handle than the back or front. In addition, I have a Monday model with an on/off button that is stuck because it
is now so wide. It will probably break quickly in general.

The length or the format is more of a disadvantage. Some apps then have black bars or are distorted in length.

I don't really need the performance. But it has a nice colour reproduction and contrast. I have not yet been able to remove some of the bloatware, which is very annoying. The Huawei EMUI feels like an AOSP.

If you don't need the advantages (gaming) and can charge every day, you should rather look for something else. Such large phones are becoming increasingly impractical to use.

Great pro phone for the small purse

Basically, I'm really surprised at what you get here for CHF 300. A large display with an extremely powerful battery and a 64MPx camera that is quite impressive. The speaker sound is set too low in the default settings and sounds tubby and metallic. Real sound miracles can be achieved here with an equaliser app. The settings for the display also need to be improved manually. But that's part and parcel of Android. In the end, I was able to set a pretty great picture here, too, because the setting options are quite wide. The invasive advertising from XIAOMI can be partially switched off. Nevertheless, there are always some advertising apps on the display. If you can live with a few manual adjustments, you can buy this. Otherwise, you will have to pay more for such quality from other manufacturers.

    Pro

    • Battery life
    • large display
    • great camera

    Contra

    • Advertising in the apps
    • Loudspeaker sound must be corrected manually
