50-Ω SMA microwave cable. Microwave cables are SMA connector assemblies for 50 Ω with a maximum rated frequency for cost-effective performance in a variety of applications such as instrument testing, device calibration, and various forms of microwave communication. The flexible, double-shielded high-performance cables are color-coded for easier identification by frequency range. The gold-plated SMA connectors at each end feature brass bodies and dual heat-shrink strain reliefs to prevent damage and performance degradation. Available in two versions, with and without graphical representations of the operating characteristics. With graphical representation – The graphical representations of the operating characteristics provide the insertion loss and return loss for a specific cable assembly across its entire spectrum. The cable assembly is assigned a serial number for better tracking of its whereabouts. This allows users to perform unrestricted calibration of devices while considering the cable assembly during their tests and measurements. Without graphical representation – Conventional cable assemblies without graphical representations of the operating characteristics still meet the technical specifications listed in the tables. This results in cost savings for devices that do not require calibration.
