Gamers can enjoy longer playtimes with faster and more accurate ray tracing on the new ultra-bright displays, which offer up to 2600 nits of brightness for perfect visibility even in direct sunlight. The slimmer bezels of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ allow for larger displays in compact devices. - Modern and straightforward design
- Very good picture and video quality
- User interface with many well-implemented AI functions
- superior battery life
- High price, meagre scope of delivery
Samsung has hit the bull's eye with the Galaxy S24+. It is more compact than the Ultra and offers almost as much. However, the small scope of delivery is disappointing.
After a long period of fine-tuning the camera, processor and other features, Samsung's AI offensive is finally bringing more movement back to the smart phone market: because all three devices are premium through and through. The brilliant displays are very bright, the performance is sufficient for the most complex mobile apps and the battery life of the Galaxy 24 Ultra is just under the best value...
- Modern and straightforward design with many detail improvements
- OLED with dynamic 120 Hz and bright boost
- Power processor and extensive connectivity with Wi-Fi 6E and four SIM slots
- Camera system with three focal lengths, very good image and video quality and many options including RAW
- User interface with many well-implemented AI functions and seven years of updates
- superior battery life
- Very bright and large display
- Very long battery life
- Updates until 2031
- KI
- Only a telephoto lens with low sensor resolution
The Galaxy S24 Plus lacks some of the highlights of the Ultra: no S Pen, no second phone, the Exynos processor is slightly slower than the Snapdragon in the Ultra. That's why power users often turn away. Wrongly so: in the core disciplines such as battery life, brightness and photos without zoom, it is only slightly worse. UWB wireless is also on board here.
