The SINAMICS Sinus Filter for Power Modules FSC is suitable for installation and designed for 3AC 380-480V with 33.0A. This electrical filter is intended for the Power Module PM 250 of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120. Sinus filters limit both the voltage rise time (du/dt) and the peak voltages at the motor winding. Similar to an output choke, they allow for the connection of longer motor cable lengths. Additionally, bearing currents are significantly reduced, enabling the operation of standard motors with standard insulation and without insulated bearings on SINAMICS. The voltage stress on the motor winding is thus nearly at the same level as in direct grid operation. Due to the very low voltage rise times on the motor cable, the Sinus Filter also has a positive effect in terms of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The Sinus Filter is available in a three-phase voltage range of 380 V to 480 V in sizes from FSC to FSF.
