Optimise fibre optic patch cabling in high-density patching applications where cables are prone to bending. The LC/UPC to LC/UPC OM4 multimode fibre optic cable enables 40/100Gbps network connections. The push-pull tabs on each connector ensure quick connection and removal, facilitating precise installation in high-density environments. The kink-resistant fibre and moulded strain reliefs support cable runs that require micro/macro bends while providing low attenuation. The pull-out strain relief housings allow for tool-free polarity swapping. Colour-coded LC duplex connectors ensure error-free polarity configuration.
Designed for optimal performance, precision-machined ceramic ferrules ensure accurate alignment of fibres to avoid connection problems and minimise insertion loss. The polished LC to LC UPC fibre connectors significantly improve return loss characteristics and ensure reliability in high-density network applications. The Laser Optimised Multimode Fibre (LOMMF) OM4 fibre optic patch cable is ideal for 850nm and 1300nm Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSEL) and LED sources.
This multimode 50/125µm fibre patch cable is backwards compatible with OM3 and 1/10/40Gbps networks, ensuring a reliable connection in legacy fibre environments. The OM4 fibre optic cable features a flame-retardant LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) jacket, producing very little smoke and toxic fumes in extreme heat or in the event of a fire. This enables safer cable installations in areas with poor ventilation, including some industrial environments, enclosed environments such as trains and aeroplanes, and residential areas where compliance with building regulations must be considered.
Each OM4 fibre optic cable is also individually tested for insertion loss that meets or exceeds the TIA/EIA-568 industry standard to ensure compatibility and 100% reliability.
