Patch cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz. They are used for signal transmission at high data rates (1 Gbps). Due to the high signal frequencies, careful installation and assembly are particularly important, especially at the connection points of the conductors. The individual pairs of wires in Cat6 cables are twisted at different tightness, which further reduces susceptibility to interference compared to Cat5e. Applications include voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks. Slim patch cables offer a significant advantage when cabling racks and 48-port switches. Their extremely thin design and great flexibility help prevent cable tangling, allowing for better organization.
