Unfortunately, Samsung Pay does not work, as I have just discovered. Although you can start Samsung Pay (or Wallet), you can NOT add a credit or debit card! Only a Samsung Pay Card would work. This is because the phone is internally configured for Germany. I hope this is the only problem I will have.
