Can I still connect my Macbook Pro, which has an 85Watt power supply, here without damaging anything? Does this just make the Macbook charge more slowly?

Hello
I would not be so sure that this will work. According to the specifications, the unit has an output power of 80 watts with AC - and your power supply unit is somewhat higher with 85 watts... the power supply does not "know" that the AC source can only deliver 80 watts. In the end, there is nothing else to do but test it...

This definitely works without a problem.
For a study project, we operated a 27" LCD and a Raspberry Pi with a running WiFi connection for over 45 minutes. And we did this on three power banks of this type. It worked wonderfully. Your MacBook's power bank is smart enough to safely power your Mac. Anyway, the powerbank is pretty great too!

It's hard to say, because a lot of electronics are built in. If the thing is 'smart', only the fuse will blow. But you risk an overload and overheating. Your device may not charge at all because the power supply is not getting enough power.
