Can the Samsung A5 2017 be updated to Android 7.0?

An Android 7.0 update for the A5 is planned by Samsung for this year, but not yet rolled out.
There are some custom ROMS (e.g. Lineage OS 14.1 UNOFFICIAL) that already provide Nougat (7.1.1) for the A5, but this is not recommended if you want to keep warranty and support.

Long story short - "official? - no, not yet"
