Can the Vu+ Solo2 read my Sataccess/Viaccess card (for Swiss channels) directly, or do I need a CI module ?

I had problems. I bought a CI module. Now it works fine

You can do both. The variant with the CI module is the more stable of the two.
A Viaccess CI module does not cost much.

The Vu actually has 2 slots for Smartcarts.... see --> http://www.vuplus.de/downloads...
I myself only operate it with a virt. Ci module
