Question about Google Pixel 7

Dear Cummunity, Dear lithium-ion battery experts, Dear Galaxus Support, Dear Pixel owners I was able to pick up the Pixel 7 for my mum on Friday, full of anticipation, and was looking forward to setting it up like a little kid, because I've been a fan since my girlfriend got the Pixel 7a. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The device wouldn't switch on. Even after trying to bring the Pixel to life on the power supply, it initially failed. Only after about 5 minutes did the Pixel 7 display a battery charge level of 3%. 3%....wtf?? When delivered, electronic devices should always have a minimum battery level of 40%, right?!?!! I decided to cancel the exercise and remove the device from the Storm. As I was already familiar with the phenomenon of "deep discharge" from my previous modelling hobby (I used lithium-ion and polymer batteries a lot), this "first contact" with the Pixel 7 made me even more suspicious. In almost all cases, deep discharge leads to permanent damage to the capacity of the battery. (Statement based on experience and current research.) Well, now I have a few questions... How long was this device in stock? How quickly do your Pixel's discharge when switched off? Has anyone had the same experience? If so, that would probably mean that your device no longer has the full capacity guaranteed by the manufacturer. Let me know guys if you have had similar experiences. Thank you.
