Does anyone use this with Wingo and if so, do you notice a noticeable improvement now apart from the fact that you can make more settings. I'm more interested in whether it brings more stable internet, faster Wi-Fi or more range?

After my Wingo box suffered a short circuit, I also switched to the Fritzbox 5490 Fiber and am very satisfied with it. It runs flawlessly with stable internet.

As an additional advantage, the Fritzbox offers many more configuration options, including WLAN mesh.

However, if you still have some time, then I would wait for the FritzBox 5550 with Wifi 6 and 2.5Gbit/s LAN port (See en.avm.de/press/press-relea...).

Wingo=Swisscom: FritzBox is MUCH better than the Swisscom Box! With the Fritz repeaters you can build a wonderful mesh wifi network, which really didn't work with the Swisscom stuff. I don't have Wingo but Swisscom is the same. And with Swisscom, this Fritzbox works wonderfully. I noticed a very clear difference when I switched to the FritzBox. The Swisscom box has been in the basement for a long time......
