It depends on what you want to do and what you expect.
The A6300 is a great camera, small, handy and light. The A7II has the larger sensor.
However, image quality is very good with both and you don't have to worry about that.
The A7II has more background blur due to the larger sensor and better ISO performance in the dark.
In terms of menu and settings, they are virtually the same. Only the buttons
Hi Sherlock! Fits without problems. Full-frame lenses fit on APS-C cameras. This simply means that instead of 85mm you have calculated a 127.5mm and full-frame.
APS-C lenses, on the other hand, do not always fit full-frame. With some, the dark section is simply cropped and then you only have +/- 10MP (depending on the camera).
With others it is not even mechanically possible to screw APS-C lenses
Well, not categorically better suited since the systems are almost the same. In terms of budget, yes.
They differ in ergonomics, design and sensor. But none of them is easier or harder to start with. If you also like filming, I would even prefer the A6300.
