Good day Does anyone have experience with transferring router settings to new Fritz Box routers? Does this work reliably? I have many settings on FRITZ!Box WLAN 3490 and looking for an upgrade (possibly 7530AX).

Helpful answer

I just carried out this transfer (3490 -> 7530AX) yesterday without any problems. At the first attempt, the transfer failed because the 7530AX was delivered with a slightly older firmware version. So I started the device manually for a short time, made sure that both were running on v7.28, then the transfer worked perfectly for me, including various shares, user-defined DynDNS configuration, host name, etc.

According to AVM's support page, it is possible to make a backup of the current settings and load them onto a newer model 👍

However, there is a possibility that the "jump" from the 3490 to the 7530AX is too high and not all settings can be transferred.
