Has anyone had a good experience with this TV and AirPlay and, for example, IPhone X screen mirroring? I have seen some older videos on YouTube. I wonder if the LG TVs out of the box with Airplay can handle IPhone Mirroring to play videos and pictures from the IPhone library.

It is possible to display pictures and videos from the library via an LG app, but it is not that great. The TV supports "real" screen mirroring only with Android. With the iPhone, you need the Apple TV for this.
