Question about Sony KE-55XH9005
Has Sony delivered the 4K@120Hz (HFR), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) firmware update for compatibility with Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 that was missing at launch? Online, in Sony and TV forums, I only find the update note that Android TV OS has now been replaced by Google TV OS, but nothing about the HDMI 2.1 firmware update.
VRR should be available from version v6.1534, but apparently local dimming is switched off in VRR mode. Since the PS5 does not currently support VRR either, all the more so. The advantage is therefore limited. The ALLM is limited to SONY's own "Auto Genre Picture Mode". I cannot tell you to what extent this works with the Xbox.
