Hello all. Does anyone have any experience regarding the camera? I have an S7 which is unfortunately defective. Is the picture quality (12/16MP) comparable? Greetings Harleking

Hi, I bought the device yesterday (the dualsim version). I was faced with the same question because both have advantages and disadvantages.

Price: Here, the A5 is of course much better positioned (S7 0:1 A5).

Camera: I have to say that the camera of the S7 is much better, especially for low-light shots. Since this point is negligible for me (SLR owner), I didn't give it much weight. (S7 1:1 A5)

Performance: According to the benchmark, the S7 is faster and has a faster processor. Personally, I think it's more in the measurable but not the noticeable range. Although the S7 is actually faster, you don't notice it in everyday life. (S7 2:1 A5)

Battery life: The A5 scores here, because the processor is a little weaker and the resolution is lower, you get an average of around 30% longer battery life. Both devices have the same 3000 mAh battery. (S7 2:2 A5)

Workmanship: I couldn't find any differences here, both are made of metal and glass (including the buttons). (S7 3:3 A5)

Display: The S7 has a higher resolution (QHD vs Full HD). However, I personally could not find any advantage of the higher resolution in practice. In addition, the S7 has a slightly brighter display, which is practical in sunlight, but the difference is small. (S7 4:3 A5)

Overall, the S7 is the better phone, but I think the extra price justifies the marginal difference (except for the camera). I also think it's great that the A5 supports dedicated radio and that USB C is already used. Ultimately, it depends on how much weight you attach to the individual points.
