Hello Digitec, my colleague has ordered a Zenfone 8 from you. Unfortunately, Wifi-Call does not work with any CH provider! He has a SIM from Swisscom in it and one from 1&1 from Germany. With the German provider he can make calls with Wifi. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Sunrise and also not with Swisscom. The following is striking: ASUS Switzerland has not listed the Zenfone 8 at all, no support available. On Toppreise.ch digitec is listed as an ASUS Switzerland authorised dealer. I was employed by a telco provider for 10 years. I assume that these Zenfone 8 do not have the credentials of all CH providers programmed on the phone? As an ASUS Switzerland authorised dealer, can you please clarify this and share it neatly with the community here, and if necessary add to the product description that this does not work? We have inserted my digitec connect SIM card. No Wifi call possible, no matter in which slot the SIM card was inserted. The problem is not with the CH providers, but with the supplier. My colleague has already contacted digitec support today about this. The reply was: "I am sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulties with "Wi-Fi Calling" with the ASUS Zenfone 8. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused. After contacting the department responsible for this, I have been informed that we are unfortunately unable to clarify the matter in more detail as you are not a Digitec Connect customer. Please clarify this again in detail. That would be good customer service. Unfortunately, he lives in a dead zone of both providers and would have to rely on Wifi-Call. He previously had Sunrise and switched to Swisscom in the hope of better reception. Unfortunately, it is no better in-house. He has reception outdoors.
Here are the last two answers from the Digitec Help Centre. Both answers did not solve the problem.
The restriction that VoWi-Fi (Wi-Fi Calling) does not work with any Swiss provider (although the device supports it) was not communicated by digitec in the service description. This is not transparent, this is unfair.

Thank you for your mail.
I am happy to have spoken to my colleague from the Connect department again. He informed me that even if you were with Connect, the Wifi calling would not work with the ASUS smartphone.
However, if you were with us, we could clarify with Sunrise whether we could still connect it to you. Since the device is not officially supported by Sunrise, we cannot guarantee whether it will work, but we have already had devices where it worked.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and have a wonderful day.
With best regards

Thank you for your mail.
I am sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties with the ASUS Zenfone 8 when "Wi-Fi Calling". Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
After contacting the department responsible for this, I have been informed that we are unfortunately unable to clarify this matter further as you are not a Digitec Connect customer.
May I kindly ask you to contact your provider directly in this regard, as certain mobile manufacturers have not yet been certified for Wifi-Calling/VoLTE by the providers. New smartphones from various manufacturers are always being released on a quarterly basis. According to Sunrise, the devices that are leading in terms of number in the Sunrise network are usually taken for development. This means that the more devices or models there are on the network, the more likely they are to be considered for development. The main rivals are currently Apple and Samsung, and even there, not all models are yet supported for Wifi calling/VoLTE.
I hope that I have been able to help you with this information and wish you a good afternoon.
With best regards
