How can I tell the device that I have an external hard drive with 1500 films and would like to connect this drive via the USB port and watch the films? Unfortunately, the device does not recognise the USB drive.

To be honest, I would keep my hands off this piece of junk. I was catapulted into the mid-20th century by this thing because it barely has enough memory. Example: If I want to watch the news or a film (I use Zattoo), it takes a whole 8 minutes for the system to boot up. Switching from one channel to the next also seems to be a huge calculation task for the box. However, this doesn't just affect the Zattoo app, but also Netflix etc. It is due to the whole system, which has hardly any RAM and memory. Buy a box with sufficient memory, interfaces, etc. The box is not worth CHF 5.
