How does the charger switch the power? Depending on the assignment of the ports, the watts are different. Does an effective power supply have to be connected to it, or is the plugged-in cable alone sufficient?

Helpful answer
"Normally" it needs a feeder. The graph on the manufacturer's website provides relatively good information on the watts applied depending on the assignment.

There are always about 3 ports that can together provide the power. Depending on what is plugged in, it is divided among the devices. So if you absolutely need full power, nothing may be connected to the other ports in this power group, but something may be connected to the other groups.

The plugged-in cable is enough.
