I don't know anything about routers. Is this really the latest standard? The range is also OK? Thanks in advance for further advice!

The 802.11 ac wlann standard used here is really the latest at the moment, but there are even faster routers with the same standard. What I find strange about this router is the somewhat slow Erhernet standard with 100 Mbps. Today, 1000mbit/s (Gigabitethernet) are common. So if a fast cable connection is important to you (perhaps you currently have your PC connected to the router via LAN), this might be the wrong router.
I can only say this much about the range: The (faster) 5GHz channel has a much shorter range than the 2.4GHz channel.
I hope this was of some help
