Is this really the Galaxy S20 FE NE model with the Snapdragon processor? I found this on the net. Good news for speed freaks: By now, not only the tested 5G variant of the Galaxy S20 FE is equipped with Qualcomm's faster Snapdragon 865 processor, but also the newer Galaxy S20 FE "New Edition" (usually listed as "Galaxy S20 FE NE"). The original LTE variant of the Galaxy S20 still had to make do with the Exynos 990, which has a moderate reputation mainly because of its poor energy balance. Neither is slow. In the benchmark test, however, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is ahead, at least when all processor cores are fully utilised, and is thus even faster than the most expensive S20 model, the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. What is striking in benchmark tests with the Galaxy S20 FE of the old LTE variant with Exynos chip: In several test runs in succession, the speed performance fluctuated strongly and presumably decreased significantly in parallel with the heating of the device. In contrast, the S20 FE 5G delivered largely identical test results. The Galaxy S20 FE NE should also generate less heat and thus also conserve the battery.
Yes, Snapdragon 865 is also noted on the packaging.
