The TV can send the Atmos signal to the Arc, but it depends on the basic file. Enclosed is an info from Sonos:

"The sound of Dolby Atmos depends on the source material and the Atmos signal passed from the TV through the HDMI connection. When the Arc receives an Atmos signal, it will show up in the Sonos app in the 'Current Track' screen and in your app settings."
