I've been using the Galaxy S20 FE (Snapdragon) since Saturday and the battery is draining ultra fast. You can practically watch it. Up to 50% and then the consumption gets smaller. Is this normal? The battery went from 100% to 95% while the phone was just sitting there.
Let the unit "run down" once until it switches off. This will recalibrate the battery indicator. It is possible that an app is installed that needs a lot of juice. In my case it was the weather.com app, which consumed an enormous amount of battery.
Unfortunately, not much can be done about that. The modern Snapdragon processors and 5G require up to 20% more power. The battery of the S20 FE is not exactly big either, it has a meagre 4500 mAh capacity.
The best thing to do would be to do without 5G and run the phone on 4G only. Or buy a smartphone that has a 5000 mAh or larger battery, such as the Xiaomi Poco X3 (5160 mAh battery included).
